6061-T6 aluminum is a precipitation-hardened alloy that contains magnesium and silicon as its major alloying elements. It is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, weldability, and formability, making it a popular choice for structural applications such as building construction, transportation (auto/karting), and marine applications. It has a lower strength and hardness compared to 7075-T6 aluminum, but it is more affordable. Ideal for the recreational karter and club racer and lower RPM engine (LO-206)
